Piper's new friend, Snooty

Piper had surgery last week to remove a mast cell tumor, a type of skin cancer. The tumor's histopathology was favorable and she will not need any further evaluation or treatment. She is left with a large incision that she likes to lick. Shari and Terry sent her a new friend, Snooty the Cat, who distracts her from licking her wound. Thanks again Shari and Terry

I found this pic on an old storage card. This was taken about 6 weeks before the twins arrived. Stephanie and I spent a lot time thinking what to buy to decorate the nursery. In the end, we decided to paint pictures for the nursery. Don't worry, this is lead-free paint!

The four of us spent a week at the beach. Our vacation was great. This was the first time since Henry and Elsbeth were infants that Steph and I had an uninterrupted week to hang with the twins. We hope that a yearly beach trip will become one of our many family traditions. Next time we will go to a beach that allows dogs. Piper held down the fort in Nashville while we were gone.

Aunt Babe, the Twins Great, Great Aunt from Norway, gave them these cute Florida outfits from the Norge Horde II Keys Trip.

Cruisin'

Henry and Elbeth's grandparents, Oma and Grandad McAbee, gave them a wagon to cruise around the neighborhood. Henry is doing his signature move and holding one arm over the side of the wagon.

There was no time when Elsbeth was awake, and not crying, for our friend Zach to capture her in her gown. This shot was taken while she was asleep in our front yard.

If you look carefully in at the upper left hand corner of Henry's work, you will notice a chuck of paper missing! Henry is experimenting with a unique signature mark - his bite. He calls this work "DIVISION"

It is finally warm enough to fill up the pool and cool off. Henry and Elsbeth enjoy just soaking in the pool with the occasional splash of their hands and feet.
